This is a very exciting moment for me.
We’ve completed the first stage of setting up our new Wood Designer members website and so can now open up some of the features for testing.
Our Forum is Live!
This includes the Forum, probably the most important part of the whole membership site.
This is the best place and the quickest way to get your questions answered, whether that’s a problem you need answering about your own woodwork project, or perhaps how to use our design software or one of our services. There’s a place where you can post a quick introduction about yourself if you like, and a members showcase where you can upload images and describe your own project and get some valuable feedback.
The great thing about the forum is, all our conversations stay on the forum so others can benefit. Not only that, everybody else gets the chance to chip in and share their own knowledge and expertise.
Great Marketing Opportunities
We’re also launching our Supplier Directory which is the ideal way for Partner members to offer woodwork and related services to the community.
There’s a review facility too so you can comment on suppliers you’ve used and help out others going through the same process as you did.
Your Chance to Get Involved
For now, we will be personally inviting individuals to be Full and Partner members free of charge for the pre-launch testing period. You’ll get the chance to benefit from use of the forum, and through it support from me and other experts.
Partner members will also be able to trial a listing on the Supplier Directory. To complement this, we suggest they set up a signature in their forum profile that points to their directory listing, so the more help and support they are able to give to the community, the more they will naturally promote their own services.
In return, we’d be very grateful if you’d let us know what you like about the site, but just as important please tell us about anything that isn’t working as well as it should. We’ll explain how to do this when we sort out your test member registration. But thank you in advance!

We’ve also started this blog which is the place to check up on the latest launch details and special offers, plus early notice of new content, whether that’s new software you can access, or a great video series or eBook for members.
When we’ve fully completed the member’s area, we’ll open up the site to full BETA testing ahead of the official launch in a few months time.
