Hi Philip,

The files you have sent are post processors files for different machines. To run your machie with Vcarve you will need to output DXF files.

Can you post the DXF files or the Polyboard cabinet files?

All the best,

Ness

Hi Philip, just to confirm I’ve got all your files too. I’ll share them with Ness at the start of the week.

EDIT:

Ness has asked me to post the files here. I’ve uploaded them in a zip file.

By the way, Philip, what version of Polyboard are you using? Can you tell me where you bought it as well?

Thanks, Stefan

Hi Philip,

Thanks for your question, sorry to answer so late but as Stefan has mentioned I’m actually away giving on site training so it’s not easy for me to get time or a reasonable internet connection to answer forum posts.

I’m actually on the train back home so I have a quiet moment to browse the forum.

Vcarve is a very good CAM / Nesting utility that works great with Polyboard. The Vectric web site has some nice videos that show how to nest.

Here’s a link to the one on nesting:

file:///C:/Users/Public/Documents/Vectric%20Files/Tutorial%20Files/VCarve%20Pro%20V8.0/NestingGuide/NestingGuide_PRO.html

Other Vcarve training videos  here:

file:///C:/Users/Public/Documents/Vectric%20Files/Tutorial%20Files/VCarve%20Pro%20V8.0/CategoryIndex.html

If you need a specific video showing how to use the Polyboard DXF files tell me and I’ll shoot one for you when I get back to my office next week.

Have a great week end.

All the best,

Ness

Hi Philip, we really like the way Polyboard integrates with VCarve. We sometimes include our own nesting solution OptiNest in the integration, but VCarve’s own nesting functions are a good alternative.

The best person to answer your queries is Ness. He’s away training this week, so I’ll ask him to reply properly to you on his return.

Thanks for your patience…

Hello Everyone,

I’m trying to get my cabinet to nest and run in Vcarve Pro.

Can anyone help with this?

I did watch the cnc video…it didn’t help me.

Thanks,

Philip
