Hi Ben, I’m sorry, I should have answered your question about saving a screen shot. Whether or not you are using the free or an activated version of the software, we recommend using a free application like Jing to take a screen shot of your 3D or other view for presentation purposes.

Most version of Windows also come with an app called Snipping Tool which is free as well, and very quick to use. Just search your computer for that term and it should pop up.

Whichever one you choose makes it really quick to embed or attach images with an email, or add to a more comprehensive presentation.

To answer your other question, when you need the manufacturing output for a project, use the ‘upload attachments’ button below the box where you write your forum message. Here’s a video to show you how:

Thanks for this. I only need a few pics, some Hidden Faces Orthogonal from the 3D view of my project. The client just wants an idea of what it will look like, style etc. I don’t need the need the plans of cut list at the moment.

Is there anywhere specific I should post my documents on the forum?

Ben

Hi Ben, you can design in full with the free/demo version you already have. You only upgrade/activate the free version when you buy the software outright.

In your case, all you need to do is post your Polyboard projects in the forum when complete, or earlier if you need advice, and we’ll process the file and send you back the cut list, plans and DXF CNC files.

This output element is the bit you cannot do with your version – that’s why we set up our CabinetFile service so you can use the software without buying it – great for occasional (up to 1/month) or a one-off project.

All the best, Stefan

Hi,

I downloaded polyboard as part of the trial but have since upgraded to the premium account but my program still says it is the demo. I need to save/screen print some of my designs.

Please help

Ben
