Hi Shane!

Welcome aboard!  I am, like you, and amateur woodworker…  Ness has been a great help and PolyBoard will become your greatest friend, considering what you want to do.

Be sure to watch the training videos (at least the first three) posted on this website and you will get a very good feel how PolyBoard will work for you.

If ever you need any help, let me know as I will see what I can do to help you out…  For me personally, I only started using PolyBoard on January 1, 2015, but I am almost complete in planning my Home Bar.

Cheers from Canada!

Christopher

Hi Shane,

Welcome to Wood Designer, and thanks for telling us a bit about your plans.

Sounds like Polyboard should be a good fit for those projects.

One of the things I really like about it is that you’ve got so much flexibility to design custom units just how you want…it’s rare you can find the perfect solution off the shelf for what you’ve got in mind.

I hope you get the hang of things ok, let us know if you need pointing in the right direction.

All the best,

Stefan

Hello all,

My name is Shane. I am over in the states. I am an amateur who wants to create a couple of items that would make my apartment a tad bit comfortable.

I am interested in making a standalone pantry (with shelves to put appliances) as there is no pantry in my kitchen. I also want to create a unique TV stand that acts as my electronic hub for my router, printers, and other electronics. Those are the two projects I have in mind.

I have experiencing putting things together and IKEA has become my best friend and I am handy man with my friends. However, I want to be able to make something that you can’t find in a store. Especially, when it comes to dimensions.

Well thank you for allowing me to become a member. I want to try the software out first before I sign up for the full membership.

Thanks again,

Shane
