Hi Caroline,

This is indeed of major importance if you want full synchronisation.

You should know that each software can be used separately, and it’s why both softwares can have their own folders.

Both can handle Materials libs, but only OC can handle panel Stock

But they can both use the same libraries for materials!

You can see which folders are in use from the menu Tools > Folders > Parameters…

When folders are not found at PB/OC start-up (moved/deleted), they are returned to the original folder.

No-available-panel.png screenshot shows you may don’t have a panel defined for this material.

Like the example below, to handle the same materials libs from PB and OC, you need to setup the same folders

To get the cutting list from OC you should assign Material to Panel

From OC, if I create a new panel and assign Melamine, I’ll get the Cut plan

Hi again Alex,

Sorry for late answer from this end.

I have tried to find the reason to why none of the materials is in the stock in OptiCut.

Looks like the new update is saved in a different place on the computer, and the material and stock is also on two different places-does that matter?confused

I have tried to locate the files on the computer, and managed to find the backup- one from November, and one from the date when I updated Opticut. However I can’t open the file or import this back in to OptiCut, it says that the folder they are in is empty…

The file attached named backup shows a file saved on the computer from the date of the update, I tried to open it and got a message that by open the registration it it could delete some values in the program.

Can you please advise?

Best regards, Caroline

As you can see when you update that changes all your previous settings,

but your files are not deleted by the installer,

it is hiding somewhere if you haven’t deleted them,

I don’t speak English, but I can look by Zoom session.

If you are free now, I can send you an email with information to look at this.

By double click you can check if your panel stock are well here, and change option to use single panel stock

Cheers, Alex

Was I supposed to download that file before I updated OC?embarassedconfused

Hi,

Can you indicate which update you are talking about,

PolyBoard, OptiCut, Quick Design libraries?

Can you check your panel Stock from OC?

Cheers, Alex

Hi,

Can you please advise on what has happened and how I can fix it?

It looks as if the materials is saved again after I updated Polyboard, but I can’t optimize in Opticut, please see attached pictures and the furniture in Polyboard I want to get a cutting list to.

Thanks!

Regards, Ola
