Hi Conor,

If you use AutoCad or Draftsight to edit the Optinest output, the drawings will keep the polylines as one entity.

If you some other software or WoodWop it’s possible that it will explode polylines.

The machining will be separate so you have to select the part outline and the individual machining and move them all together but this shouldn’t be a big deal.

Cheers,

Ness

Hi Conor,

Sorry to say that it’s not possible to move the parts manually in Optinest. You can of course easily move them in the exported DXF file.

best regards,

Hi Ness, thanks for your reply. I had already tried that.

If I make any alterations to the optinest created dxf it explodes the file into lots of individual lines which will not rejoin into one line.

A simple rectangle with one tool pass turns into 12 individual tool passes.

Any ideas?

Regards and thanks,

Conor

Hi all, when I export from polyboard to optinest and the program creates the nests is it possible to manually move a piece in the nest if it suits you to have a different off cut?

Thanks Conor
