Before any update/uninstall for transfer, it is always better to make a complete backup.

By using menu Tools > Save Parameters… then select full options

These backups can be restored in case of problems.

For OptiCut 6 I can’t do anything for panel and barre stock, but for materials if well selecting “Take no Action” you can use the same materials folders as PolyBoard, like that you can edit materials from OC or PB, and have the good setting for using perfect grain

You can create and use “Stock” folder into PolyBoard libs v7.1, to have a backup with PolyBoard libraries folders in the future.

(this will then generate new empty stock files)

I have added an automatic link between PolyBoard and OptiCut in the QuickDesign installer since version 7.3 and the actual 7.4 for OC 6

All the best, Alexandre

No such files found unfortunately..

Is there an option to download those files somewhere?

I’ve also just upgraded from polyboard pro to PP along with Optinest, but not yet done the upgrade. Maybe there’s a way when I do that to ensure that the materials are there?

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi,

If you have OC

I’m not sure if older versions of libraries include a specific folder for stock

if that case the stock folder is polyboard-libs-V7.1\stock(s) to find

Stock-1.ocb-stock

Stock-1.ocp-stock

If you have lost stock when upgrading from 5 to 6, you can try looking in the original OC 5 software folder to see if it already exists.

( C:\ProgramData\Boole & Partners\OptiCoupe 5)

If you change location, be sure to select “Take no Action” to avoid overwriting existing files!

The last way is to search for these files in Windows if they have been moved somewhere else….

I hope it won’t be too late already.

All the best, Alexandre

Hello.

I had this problem once before and now cannot remember the solution..

In Opticut all of the stock sheets from Polyboard are missing. I’ve looked through all of the folders in ‘polyboard-libs-V7.1’ but nowhere can I find the files needed.

Although I am starting to build up my own library there are many panels which I can use from the standard materials list so would be great to be able to get those back. Looking forward to your reply! Thanks
