hi,

If you import all parts in DXF 3D that gives you full solid accessories

importe.PNGImage Enlarger

you have in reality 1 door with double link, cut into two parts,

the software does not understand where put the accessory without having a problem when it comes to the machining

cheers, Alex

Hi Alex,

So it definitely works better using your method (thickness split) however as you can see from the images I have attached the fitting doesn’t stay on the door when opened (looks like it opens relative to the other door) and it still looks kind of hollow and not a solid 3d shape?

Kind regards

Hi,

Can you try with this? (attached cab)

Use the smallest cabinet you can

Set Smoothing pref to 0 before so you don’t have too many 3D faces in your model then export as a DXF 3D

All the best, Alex

Hi,

I am trying to create a cabinet lock as a 3D accessory. To do this I have created 2 inner toolings. One is a square (the lock) the other a circle (the cylinder). The result is the cylinder leaves a hollow in the square. When these are exported and eventually joined as a group the 3d model is not right.

Please can you advise on what I am doing wrong. I have attached the cabinet.

Kind regards

Tom
