Hi,

No, there is no software that I know of to do this job,

The Häfele website is currently the best website available for downloading 3D models.

They also have a very interesting library to find similar products.

Hi

Thank you for your reply.

Is there no way to automatically make those complicated 3D files into simpler geometry?

Do I have to make every accessory from scratch?

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, the files you send contain too much detail.

The first solution is to design your accessories in CAD.

The second solution is to conceive your since Polyboard to export it in DXF3D then to reimport it in the 3D accessories

All the best, Alexandre

hi,

here is a sample of the “complicated 3d file”. Redoing it as a simple drawing is my last resort. I don’t exactly know what you mean by “cleaning them up”. Could you help me with this file?

Hi,

have you read this tutorial page?

https://wooddesigner.org/help-…..cessories/

For some fittings, it is easier to redo a simple drawing or to “clean them up” in CAD by removing the interior, for example.

All the best, Alex

Hi

My goal is to incorporate the fittings that we use into Polyboard as 3D accessories. My concern is that the 3D dxf file we acquired from our suppliers are too heavy/complicated and as we use it as 3D accessories in Polyboard, the application lags and eventually crashes. (Attached are screenshots of the fitting in cad and in Polyboard)

Do you have any advice on how to simplify the 3D models to avoid Polyboard from crashing?
