Hello Patrick,

Thank you for your patience regarding this problem. Later today you will see PolyBoard version 8.01t released on our website. This has rectified the CSV export error that you reported.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Best regards,

Isaac

Hi Isaac

Thanks for the reply and problem solved to a certain extent.  As we can add an assembly to a cover panel in project mode it s a little confusing as a user would expect that to be reported in the outputs, so either you should disabled that ability or the bars need to be reported in the cutting list otherwise when used for material estimates they are incorrect.  I also saw that the csv output is not working on your video as the whole line of information is in one cell, hence I had to use text export and then import to Excel so that I can use the dimensions to calculate the materials for the bars.  Will this be fixed, if not better to remove as current situation is not very useful.

Cheers

Hello Patrick,

You are not getting a cutting list for the bars on your panels as you cannot edit the assembly on a panel in the project mode.

What I recommend, is that you create your panels rather from the cabinet mode and add them as a cabinet (with a single side panel), rather then through the project mode.

See the following video for an example:

Hi Alex

I am exporting as txt file as the CSV does not work correctly then importing to excel.  The bar elements form the structure applied to the cover panels are the items that are not being exported but the panels elements of the same structure are.  So to give you an idea, the frame around the panels is solid wood 43 x 80 and the panels remated into the frame are 8mm, the panels are reported. As the solid is different to what is used on the cabinet doors in thickness which are 22 x 80, I was expecting to see it on the list but it was not there.  I have attached the project so you can test to see if its an issue at my end

Cheers

Hi Patrick,

Can you let me know which export you mean?

several solutions are possible,

PolyBoard to “OptiCut export”, both are send in separate list *.ocp and *.ocb

PolyBoard to “CSV/TXT export”, both are send in separate list  filename and “filename”.bar.txt/*.csv fil but format can’t be edit
bar format is

PolyBoard to ERP export, All in same list and format can be edit from “ERP Export Options…”

hope that’s useful, Alex

Hi All

I have model which has cover panels to which I have applied a library structure which is a frame which has vertical and horizontal Bar elements.  I exported the cutting list and these are missing from the bar list but the panels are included in the panel list, which is not great when it comes to doing an estimate.  Can you tell me where these should be included as I need cutting lists for solid and to include in the estimates?

Also it would be really helpful if the bar cutting list had the option to have the cabinet name or single panel name as a column so we can see what belongs to which cabinet.

Thanks

Patrick
