OnlineHello Ben,
You will notice that in the QuickDesign Libraries (QDL) the:
– Tandem & Movento/= drawers always have drawer boxes that are the same sizes in a drawer bank.
– TandemBox & Movento drawers are referenced differently, and the drawer boxes vary in heights and positions in a drawer bank.
What I recommend, since you are making your own drawer boxes, is that you use our QDL methods as a base, reference our video resources, and adjust the methods as you require for your own specific manufacturing requirements. In this way, you are making your drawers with your requirements, rather then changing what you would normally do in order to comply with our example methods.
Best regards,
Isaac

OfflineHi Isaac,
Thank you for your response.
I am building my own drawer boxes completely (without metallic sides) and have used the drawer you marked in green—the first one, in fact.
If Movento and Tandem are assembled identically, could you clarify why there are differences in the drawer assembly settings between what I see in the Quick Design Library and the video I referenced in my previous question? Sorry if this is a bit confusing—I just want to reconcile the differences.
Thank you for your help.
Best regards,
Ben

OnlineHello Ben,
Thank you for your question.
Firstly, are you making your own drawer boxes completely, or are you ordering the metallic sides for your Tandembox drawers?
See the following image, the drawers in the Red box are for ordering metallic sides, and the drawers in the green boxes are for making your own drawer boxes (see this further in the Assembly of each sub-method).
Additionally,
See the following two technical sheets. These are for making timber drawers for the TandemBox and Movento runner systems.
You will see that the manufacturing requirements are the same, except for the minimum distance from the bottom of the drawer to the drawer bottom, these have a minimum distance requirement of 1mm more for Movento. Since this is a minimum requirement, they can both share the larger value.
Therefore, these runner systems have been combined in our libraries.
Best regards,
Isaac

OfflineHello everyone,
Screen recording for this question:
https://supercut.ai/share/admi…..IElmxdTrmU
I have a question regarding the Blum Tandem drawer system.
In the drawer sub-method i see that Tandem & Movento drawers are merged together. I assume they need to be configured identically.
I also watched a video tutorial from your YouTube chanelle which demonstrates how to set-up a Movento drawer.
Here’s where I got confused:
My specific questions are:
- Are Tandem and Movento drawers considered identical in terms of assembly in the Quick Design library?
- If yes, why do the numbers in the assembly window differ from the ones shown in the video (e.g., different top reference option, different values, no grooves for the bottom panel in the video example)?
- If they are not identical, which drawer system should I actually use from the library?
Thanks in advance for clarifying!
Ben
