Butt hinges in face frames|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER

Hi Tom,
Sorry but it’s not possible to link the frame to the door so you can’t insert automatically the hinge on both door and face frame using one fittings link.
You can get around this limit by adding an inner tooling to the frame.
Another way to to make an automatic insertion would be to create a fittings link sub method that includes links between the side and the door and the side and the face frame.
If you set both links up correctly you’ll get both sides of the hinge cut when you insert the manufacturing method.
Cheers,
Ness

Hi,
I have created a fitting link for using butt hinges. These would generally be used on faceframe furniture. The link I have created only works on the door edge and not on the face frame. I assume this is because the door does not link to the faceframe (double back)? I am aware I could add these links manually to the faceframe but this is not ideal. Any ideas as to how the link can be applied to both door and faceframe just as it would be if applied to door and side?
Kind regards
Tom
