“consider the recess value” in this use, is to set if:

-Bplat should start from planel edge, recess to yes and set at 37mm,

But that don’t use doors slake in depth for positioning Bplat,

-Bplat should start from door, recess to NO and set at 38.5mm

(you can click on the icon circled to change overview)

(37 mm for Bplat standard position, and 1.5mm more for factory recess)

Thankyou Alex this has been very educational. I tried setting it up my self but failed to see the “consider the recess value” subfield and was fine for the current reveal but would cause problems if that changed. now I have seen your set up for the hinge that references from the edge of the door instead it should solve that issue.

thanks again

Hi, what we mean is that the space between the edge of the 35mm cup hole and the edge of the door should be 5mm.  This means that the position of the centre of the cup hole should be 17.5+5mm=22.5mm from the edge of the door. We have already established this as our standard.

We are a well established company with standard hinges carefully chosen for our methods.  We use the simple screw on Boss type, not inserta or knock-in.  We stock the 71B3550 hinges.  We need the machining to be set up for these hinges which require minimum 13mm cup hole depth, and just pin hole marks for the screw tips.

According to the blum catalogue your 75T159 hinge uses a cup drilling depth of 11.5mm, and 8mm knock in screw holes.

We want a machining set up that exactly matches our hinge please.

Hi,

The position of the lock in relation to the edge of the front panel at 5mm is a big mistake!

3-7 is not variable but a possible limit

This lets you know that for a standard hing, Blum can cover the side up to D+(3-7) with a base plate of 0mm.

Blum has 2 values D 11mm (like Blum/hing75T159-X00//app/ol/13-18 in QD) and 13mm ( like Blum/hing73B359-X00//app/ol/16-20 in QD)

With D11 doors, the side can be covered up to at least 14 mm and up to a maximum of 18 mm (without changing the factory screw setting).

In Quick Design

hings.pngImage Enlarger

Blum/hing75T159-X00//app/ol/13-18

Blum Factory/ 75T159 Ref / X00 cross base or align and thickness) // App/bin type of use

Side 2 is for the start from the inside (side)

If you look at the position of the 35mm -6.5 hole is given to follow the factory instruction, 35mm/2 = 17.5 – 11 (D) = (-) 6.5mm

With this setting you can set the door slack to 0mm or 4mm max, with a side of 18mm and a Bplat of 0mm.

With this setting you can set door slack at 0mm or 4mm max, with 18mm side and 0mm Bplat

All these explanations indicate that you can use the Blum/hing75T159-X00 used in all our manufacturing methods.

All the best, Alexandre
