Hi Marianne,

Here is a video explaining the difference between inner tooling and a single panel fitting, which would be the solution in your current PolyBoard version. If any more questions, let me know

Regards

Michel

Hello again!

I have now made a cabinet with the “ajusted links” to make a fitting for the pocket/sliding doors. Thank you so much for help with that:)

It seems to be working, but the tool milling the track withe the 6 mm tool seems to be working a bit hard.

So back to one of the challanges regarding selecting correct tooling, I need more specific instructions.

My original quesion was:

Idealy I would want the system to select:

6-8 mm track with the T4-130- 6 mm

8-12 mm track with the T2-128- 8mm

and 20 + mm track with the T1-203- 20 mm

You did send me a video showing me how to punch in the tool I wanted for this inner tooling, but I dont understand where I´m supposed to assign different tools different instructions? I can only give inner tooling one set of tool.

Am I supposed to do this under “inner tooling” or under “customized tools” maby ?

Hi,

Let me know how it goes.

You can additionally assign customized tools to an action, this forces an additional tooling to be assigned to an action rather then its default one.

You can see that in the following article under the heading “Customized Tools” (Note: this is the same set-up for your PP, as well as the DXF PP).

thanks again. I will do this and then do a test.

If I later on would want to for example make a big pocket (or something of a bigger size). Do I then need to go in and change this every time, or can it be done with some options like I suggested in last post? Like this:

6-8 tool xxx

8-20 tool xxx

20+ tool xxx

Hi,

Just note that the attached image has not come through.

See the video below, hopefully this is a solution.

Hello again Isaac!

Thank you so much for your help so far 😛

I´ve now created a pannel-structure with inner tooling, as you showed me in the video.  I added this to a “test-box/cabinet”, but the machine seems to use the wrong tool. (T1-130 20 mm contouring and panel) and of course the track is way too big.

I hoped Polyboard/Homag automaticaly would read the dimensions and choose the proper tool based on the size. Maby we never got the settings for this correct ?

How/where can I correct this setting?  Is it in the PP ? We got help with the PP in the beginning. I´m not very confident about doing this my self.

Idealy I would want the system to automaticaly select:

6-8 mm track with the T4-130- 6 mm

8-12 mm track with the T2-128- 8mm

and 20 + mm track with the T1-203- 20 mm

(see attached image for information)

Kind regards

Marianne H.O.

Hi Marianne,

Please see the attached video.

NOTE: I have tested this on a standard cabinet, therefore please ignore the panels and the carcass structure. Only focus on the fittings and how I went about creating those.

If you need further assistance, send me your cabinet, as well as the calculated angle for the grove on your uprights, and I can create and apply this fitting for you.

I hope this all helps you.

Regards,

Isaac
