Hi Michel
Please find attached a photo of the drawers we do, you will notice they are inset within a face frame and with a counter frontage that is either flat (18mm thick) or made like a door (20mm thick). The flat fronts are used when the opening is too small for a frontage made like a door.
Our drawer runners are available in lengths from 300mm to 550mm in increments of 50mm. So 300, 350, 400, 450, 500, 550
The runners are soft close and under mounted, made by GTV. The fitting of them is the same as Hafele and Hettich.
On occasion the drawers would require a vertical frame division between the counter frontages if we have 2 drawers side by side in one cabinet.
PS. Files are too large for the forum, only pictures taken on my phone, so I will send them direct to your email.
THE MATHS
opening for the drawer in the cabinet , width = x height = y
drawer runner length = z
counter frontage: width=x – 2mm, height =y – 2mm thickness is either 19mm or 20mm dependent on the material as explained above (clear pine in panel materials or P St door in panel structures) the runner will adjust to account for the different thicknesses.
drawer side: length=z – 5mm , height=y – 30mm , thickness is 18mm solid FJ Oak
drawer back: length= x – 48mm , height = y – 70mm, thickness is 18mm solid FJ oak
drawer front: length= x – 12mm , height = y – 30mm, thickness is 18mm solid FJ Oak
drawer bottom: width x – 42mm , length = z – 12mm , thickness 19mm Oak veneered MDF
I will add all the materials to the library. ALL IN PANEL MATERIALS
The drawer side is dovetailed to the front, I have allowed for this in the sizes, I know polyboard will not show a dovetail but I am sure you have a work around. The dovetail penetrates the front by 10mm – this is included in my calaculated size of the side.
I will send a cabinet file you can use to add drawers.
Please let me know if you need any other info.
Dave
