Hello Lorin,

I apologise, I am not sure I fully understand here.

Can you please send me an OptiCut file that you are having this problem with? I will look into this.

Regards, Isaac

Hi Isaac, just so i understand the process better:

Currently when we finish a project, when exporting to opticut, it gives us a ‘x’ amount of panels needed.

However, when exporting the cutting list to the beamsaw software, the amount of panels needed is less.

Does the post-processor option eliminate that?

Regards

Hello Lorin,

If you are using PolyBoard, you will need to make the following changes in your cutting list options:

2026-06-11_13-49-17.PNGImage Enlarger

– Set the Dimensions to Net Dimension

– Set your panel options

– Change both the height and width to net dimensions as well

Best regards, Isaac

Hi Issac,

at the moment:

in polyboard we go to cutting lists and then CSV/TXT EXPORT. the file we then send to our beam saw. in polyboard when we go to post-processor export, we cannot select any options.

in polyboard under cutting lists, when we choose opticut export, it opens opticut and when we export in opticut and send the file to the beam saw, the beam saw software does not recognise the file.

Hello Lorin,

Sorry for the confusion, I just want to clarify how you are exporting your OptiCut results.

So from what you stated, you are sending your files to OptiCut and running saw optimizations. In your OptiCut, you are not having success with a post processor export, so you are instead exporting to a csv/txt file. When you say exporting to a csv/txt, are you referring to the results export in the following image?

2026-06-11_10-16-05.PNGImage Enlarger

The only option for a specific path of cutting list>CSV/txt is in PolyBoard and not in OptiCut. Instead of OptiCut, are you instead meaning to say PolyBoard?

Thanks, Isaac
