Hi Tom,
To avoid this don’t groove the rail into the Top just make it overpassing.
However I noticed a bug when the overpassing panel is overlapping with a value greater that the height of the lateral zone.
I’ve told the developer team and they will be releasing a fixed version in the coming days.
All the best,
Ness

Hi Ness,
I have attached both the model and the printout.
Because the method involves grooving the double back (faceframe) into the 0.5mm external zone, when applying a recess the 0.5mm external zone then comes through to the frontage by the amount of the recess (1mm) each side.

Hi Tom,
I’m not sure what you mean here, can you send a couple of drawings or models to explain?
Or if you want we can do a quick Team Viewer session?
cheers,
Ness

Hi Ness,
Using the external zone method as you have described seemed to work well. And probably does if you don’t apply a recess and an overlap as I need to for the faceframe (something we did in training). The result when printing out the drawings is the top piece is dimensioned to the cabinet width plus the faceframe. The rest of the cabinet is dimensioned correctly. If I take away the recess and overlap then all pieces are dimensioned correctly.
Any thoughts?

Hi Tom,
As all facade elements continue to reference the actual carcass and not the front frame the slack values will always have to be adjusted to the actual frame positions.
You can set up all these values to come in automatically in the Doors and Drawers sub-methods.

So I have increased the value of the top reference from 10 to 30mm. This give the drawer sides enough clearance. The drawer frontage is however still too high and referencing to the cabinet and not the face frame. So I give the drawer frontage a recess value of 24mm from the top. This looks to work. However how can this be set up as a manufacturing method?
I have also tried this with doors and obviously the same problem occurs.
