OfflineHello Tom,
Yes, that is a good idea.
We are still looking into why its causing a problem, but if you are not actually machining them, it does reduce clutter in a dxf file that is not needed. Overall, this will be a small difference, but better for the ON handling anyway. To remove these grooves, you want to manually remove them as shown in your fitting links. Note, only delete the Fitting Link [2].
Regarding your feet rule, see the following:

OfflineHi Isaac,
You’re right, that seems to have done the trick, thank you!
The lads make the grooves manually anyway. I wonder if we should remove the groove entirely from my methods moving forward? On that point, could you show me how do I do so please, as it’s in my methods for shelves and vertical divisions natively. All that needs to be there are the divario pins I guess, as we only have a 3 axis CNC.
Whilst we are at it, I have a new vertical (Y) axis rule for my axilo feet that wants changing as the default, how do I do that?
That’s the first time the grooves have ever been an issue for us. I haven’t manually edited that groove, except for the fact I recessed the vertical division 80mm to be in line with the other panels that need to clear the door hinges. Perhaps the recess had an effect on the grooves?
Definitely a first for me though.
Look forward to hearing your feedback after you investigation.
Cheers,
Tom

OfflineApparently PB parameters are too big so i will have to send them via email Isaac.
Noted regarding Cabinet I Thats useful to know ill have a dig myself. Perhaps its the cabineos on the front of the drawer? They look fine with adequate rule spacing or maybe drawer runner holes in the same place? I suppose it could be 1 unique centre for back drawer and counter frontage, its a space rack drawer so it doesn’t need 2 but its belt and bracer fixings. But this is fairly common as well so, not sure what else it could be. as visually it looks fine, and the rules allowed for the fixings to be visible.

Tom

OfflineHi Isaac,
Just tried that and it doesn’t appear to have worked with optinest closed sadly it still says geometric exception, very peculiar indeed.
Its too large to attach both so I will send them separately. This is the parameters for optinest, the other message will be Polyboard parameters
I just exported another project just fine, so its clearly this project that has the issue, I just don’t know what it is!
let me know if there’s anything else you need.
Cheers,
Tom

OfflineTom,
Apologies, I know see the problem regularly, and I believe that the issue is with cabinet “I”.
Therefore, remove this first if you need to export the rest immediately. I will continue to look into why cabinet “I” has an issue.

OfflineHello Tom,
Thank you, I have seen the video and I will look into this.
First thing to test,
Please close OptiNest completely, and then try your export again.
I know this sounds silly, but the issue could be with OptiNest being open. I am asking for you to test this first as my test export worked first time.
Let me know how this goes.
If this does not work, please forward me both your PolyBoard and OptiNest parameter files.
Regards, Isaac

OfflineHi Isaac,
I’ve got to export this job to Optinest for cutting and vectricing ASAP, and I’m running into a “Geometric exception” also, Sometimes it says “no error message is available.”
When exporting from Polyboard. This is a first for me so any help would be great.
Below is a video link showing you the error, and also the Polyboard file is attached in a compressed folder as it was too large to upload on its own to this post.
Cheers,
Tom
