Hi Ryno,

OptiNest is a stand along nesting optimisation software for nesting CNCs.

It also works seamlessly with Polyboard, nesting the cut list from Polyboard including full machining details.

However it only works with the version Polyboard Pro PP, you won’t be able to test with your Polyboad Pro.

If you’re planning to upgrade to Polyboard Pro PP, and would like to see how it works with OptiNest, please let us know and we can set up a demo for you.

Thanks…

Hi,

I would like to test out the grain matching in optinest with Polyboard pro. Can I send a file from Polyboard Pro to the free version of Optinest without the Post-processor Export?

Hope to hear from you soon.

thanks

Hi Ness,

Do I need to have Polyboard pro PP to test out the Grain match in Optinest?

Regards

Ryno

Hi Ryno,

Im’ sorry to say that grain continuity is not yet available in Opticut.

It’s only working in Optinest for the moment.

The developers are working on this feature for the next Opticut update but we don’t have a delivery date yet.

Best regards,

Ness

Hi Alexandre,

What do i have to do in Opticut to get the cutting map to cut grain match?

I chose “Keep grain continuity” in ployboard.

The cutting map looks like this

But should look like this..

Ryno

Hi,

there is no video actually to show how you need to do this,

but in Polyboard you need to use materials with Grain

When exported into OptiCut, it follows the grain direction

in Polyboard, you can use the option “Keep grain continuity” in the same cabinet to sequence several faces within the optimization

Cheers, Alexandre
