Hello Hassan,

You will need to assign a maximum depth to a custom tool, and apply the custom tool to both your PostProcessor and your groove.

Let me know if you need a deeper explanation on this.

Regards, Isaac

Just to follow up the previous reply, I noticed that max depth is not affecting the grooving process.

Please confirm this for me.

Hello Hassan,

Yes, this can be done.

In your PostProcessor set up, change to the desired grooving mode:

Then, you will need to set the tools’ name and diameter:

I hope this helps.

Just to follow up my previous reply, I would also add a thicker flat bit which is the 8mm flat bit

Thanks Isaac,

By the way I wonder how can i replace the grooving with the router instead of the saw?

is there a way to make it default?

Hello,

Thanks for your support and i hope that you will be able to solve this soon, Because solving this from Maestro means i need to fix each part one by one.

Also grooving the whole depth in one step is harming our machine.

Looking forward for your feedback about this point, And thanks again for your continuous support.

Regards, Hassan Sultan

Hello Hassan,

Currently, there is no maximum depth parameter for saw blades, only for milling tools.

This would need to be a parameter set in your Maestro software.

My apologies if I misunderstood this when you first asked.

Regards, Isaac

Hello,

There is one point which is not clear for me about saw grooving I can’t see maximum pass depth for the saw unit, please clarify this more for me.

If you can provide the video example as well, it would be very helpful for our team to implement this quickly.

Best regards,
Hassan Sultan
