Hi everyone,

Someone has just asked me how to set up a hanging rail that can easily clip into existing cabs.

There are lots of ways of doing this so I shot this video just to show one:

Hi Terry

I did a quick hanging rail for a robe last week.

You can adjust the width and depth of the item for your particular robe and the height of the model will allow it to clip to the top of a robe.

Where the rail needs to be fitted under a shelf, if the model sizes are the same it will in effect slide up or down the robe to where you want it.

Make the material something like 'z hanging rail' and it will cut list it also.

As im not full time at woodwork yet it can get frustrating coming back to the software after a couple of weeks. Its not the softwares fault but my brain remembers some things and not others.

I would really like to see (if anyone can find the time to do it) some hardware templates for things like

Blum hinges and runners

Metal ball bearing runners (some popular brands such as topslide and the cheaper ones from Buller)

Also is there anyway of representing hanging poles in wardrobes?

I could work things out myself in time.......but to be honest sometimes doing simple such things can take me hours and it tends to happen in the evening when your getting tired. The ability to have templates that you can download would I think a be a great addition. Possibly a huge task.... and you cant please everyone but I would suggest that the Blum stuff is way ahead of the competition in popularity (not necessarily quality) and that would be a great place to start. The grass stuff is pretty decent and their undermount drawers soft close drawers are better than the blums IMO.

I think future users of the software would benefit greatly from this too.

Just an idea......probably alot of work though.

Terry
