Hello Zeljko,

Unfortunately, you cannot do this in the current version either.

The easiest way of interconnecting two units is to create a “fake” panel with the same thickness of the material used in your project (I would create a material named “to_be_deleted”, and give it a red color). (Later on, I would delete all the pieces from this material from the optimization software!)

For the cabinet on the left (the one with the horizontal shelves) re-activate the right panel (the panel where the connectors should be), change the material to the “to_be_deleted” one and add the fittings you need. Make sure that you add the “to_be_deleted” panel thickness to the final size of the cabinet.

Or make sure that the option in the Fitting Links Sub-Method: “Ignore Links if one of the Panels is Nil” is unthicked. This way, even if your side panel is a Nil panel, the connectors still remain.

For the cabinet on the right, add a external zone to the left with the width of 50mm (make it a “Outer” zone in order to keep your cabinet final dimensions) and add fixed shelves at the same exact heights as the shelves from the cabinet on the left and add the connectors between this panel and the “fake” panel shelves.

The main idea is to “simulate” for each of the cabinets the panel/parts of its interconnected cabinet.

Regards, Petru

Hi,

I am looking at possibility to connect two different cabinets in the project and to have associated connectors in between two units, and to transfer to the dxf/CNC output. Is it possible to have that ( I know it was not possible in the past). I am working with Lamello products and need to transfer connection to double sided CNC machine. Attached is the Project and in the green highlighted are two parts that I need to connect. I didn’t want to make one whole unit.
