How to create a Chamfered Finger pull|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER
October 4, 2012
Hi Michel,
Thanks for this trick, I think that Alex did the same.
We are waiting for the developers to have the time to add a moulded edge function.
Unfortunately they already have a long list of newbies to add and I doubt that we’ll get this quickly.
All the best,
Ness

Hi,
i did find a way to make it via a project but when the door opens in 3d the added panel does not stay in sync with the actual door.

Hi alex,
Can you post the Polyboard model that you made?
regards,
Ness
Hi Ness,
What I did to give me the desired effect is to reduce the door thickness be 5mm and then apply a 5mm panel to the front of the door.
It now looks like what I want.
Ness if there is a better method please share for both presentation and machine files.

Alex

Hi Alex,
Polyboard can’t create a chamfer as you want it.
You can do it but the method you use depends on why you want it.
Are you looking to create a detailed presentation or do you need machine files?
All the best,
Ness
Hi Ness/Stafan,
I want to create a 45 degree chamfered finger pull along the inside top edge of my doors.
Polyboard does have a chamfer setting that creates the finger pull I want (sort off). The only problem is the finger pull is created with a sharp edge, where I want the chamfer to start 5mm from the top front edge.
Can this be done?
Regards,
Alex
