Hi,

Sorry but you can’t write your own PolyBoard post processor.

PolyBoard works perfectly with Alphacam, please watch this video for an overview:

If the NC does not include software to translate DXF to Gcode, you have no choice but to use additional software like VCarve.

Or the software can apply tool paths based on DXF layers naming.

All the best,

Alexandre

Hi,

The plc of the machine is omron. The format is g-code. Extension is .nc. We used alphacam but we don’t want to, anymore.

We have an IT guy that can create posprocessor, but he is asking if the postrocessors in polyboard are separate editable files, so he can create a new one or edit an existing one, or they are build in in libraries and there is no way for him to create one.

Thank you,

Stefan

Hi,

We currently have a gcode machine and are thinking to buy polyboard with cnc output. We want to know if we can write our own postprocessor and import it in Polyboard. If yes, is there any documentation, or can we edit another machine postprocessor to match our needs? We don’t want to use other programs like Vcarve and so on.

Thank you,

Stefan
