OfflineHello Andy,
So you can automate this CSV export with your machining files, with a customised set up as your SCM software requires.
In the video, you said that you can make your own CSV to import into SCM Maestro. In PolyBoard, we can automate the generation of the CSV with a customised set up so that it is in the required format.
You need to now create the format for your export. See the following video:
If you want further assistance in setting this up, a support pack would allow us to spend up to 4 hours with you, setting this up with you over a video call. See more information here:

Isaac

OfflineHi Isacc
So on the video is just shows to create your own csv, which i have tried and matched them all with polyboard but you have to then import it in excel and import the csv into it after that which makes things too complicated so didn’t really help
I think after looking at all options is there a way to add fields into the polyboard that then transfers to maestro? i think this will be the only way it will work. but i cannot sit there and put things in the field myself especially if there is 100 odd parts
Thanks

OfflineGood morning Andy,
In the video, have they given you the specific formatting instructions for using a CSV upload?

OfflineMorning Isaac
So been in touch with scm, they have given me a file and video to follow but that hasn’t worked either, basically said all the instructions are there and its down to the other software to figure it out, unfortunately i wont be able to share that file with you as its locked.
But in terms of it to work for me all i need on the label is what unit its called, only want two things the part (left side, top ect) and the cabinet name (600 cab left hung ect) then i will be able to work with that
Thanks

OfflineAndy,
You can either restore a backup parameter file that you had saved, or you can use the PGMX rather then the CSV.
Both of these methods should work for you.

OfflineHello Andy,
I recommend first reaching out to your SCM support team to confirm the exact CSV formatting specifications required for your software and CNC setup. Having these details will give us a clear target to work toward.
Once we have this information, we’ll know precisely what is needed for the PolyBoard export, and we can configure it accordingly.
After you receive confirmation from SCM, I’ll be able to guide you more effectively on how to set up the PolyBoard PP to ensure everything is correct.
Best regards,
Isaac

Andy,
Based on the documentation, it appears that Maestro supports importing a parts list via CSV, which should handle the necessary data for labelling—provided the file is in the required format.
To adjust the CSV format, first rename the PP report file extension to .csv. Once renamed, you can rearrange the columns and formatting to match the SCM requirements outlined in their document. Please refer to the image below for guidance:Note: I have recently had the experience of working with a customer who was trying to conduct a similar pathway. He was informed by SCM that his machine and software package didn’t come with such capabilities and that he required to pay them for an upgrade. I have had other customers who can set this up without any problems. It may be worth contacting SCM to confirm capabilities, and the required CSV format that you need.

OfflineHi isaac
out of the office till Friday, do you mean my format on poly board? I’ve added a few extra lines to that but not has chance to check how the labels turn out, all I need really is the part name and the project to which it belongs to, I was getting left side for every cabinet that was produced and when it’s 10 cabinets it’s quite hard to work out what’s what so if I can add the cabinet name that should solve it. Like I said I have added a new format so I will see what that turns out like
thanks

Hello Andy,
The CSV import requirements are detailed on pages 23 and 186 of the Maestro Lab documentation.
Please review these sections and confirm your specific requirements for your program. If you’d like, you can send me your setup format, and I’ll verify it against this information.
It may also be worth confirming directly with SCM to ensure you have the exact format needed for your machine and setup.
Attached below is a screenshot from page 23 for your reference.Best regards,
Isaac
