Hi Ness,

Thanks for helping. And yes, we will print labels from OptiCut.

Best regards,

Hi Grover,

It seems that the problem with Altendorf saws is that they are mainly manual panel saws and the CNC controller was added afterwards.

We will contact Altendorf to try and find some sort of agreement with them about future developments of Opticut.

While waiting may I suggest that you just print the labels directly from Polyboard.

They will print in the order of the cutting maps so are very easy to sort and apply.

Best regards,

Ness

Hi again,

The developers have replied that it's a major job to create a specific label print function specially for Altendorf saws.

As this requires a big investment of time and ressources this function will not be added to Opticut in the immediate future.

Sorry about this.

Best regards,

Ness

Hi Grover,

I'll send this reply to Boole to see if they can do something.

Best regards,

Hi Ness,

Thank you for the information. We got email from Magis but we are not sure how to do this.

Hi Grover,

Here is the reply from the development team:

---------------------------------------------------------------------

According to our understanding of Altendorf's explanations, Magis is a video
support of the cutting process, but the labels printout is handled by the saw
controller upon the Post_Processor transfer, regardless of Magis.

However this specific PP file format is not generated by PolyBoard.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Sorry that we can't be of more help...

Best regards,

Ness

Hi Grover,

Polyboard can of course print the labels and bar codes, but they will not be in the same order as the optimized sheets.

The easiest solution would be to use our optimisation software Opticut.

Opticut will automatically optimise the Polyboard cutting lists and print the labels with bar codes in the correct order.

I don't know personnaly Magis software so I'll have to ask the development team if it's possible to use the  Polyboard cutting lists data with Magis.

As it's the holiday period this might take a bit of time so please bear with me.

Best regards,

Ness

Hi guys,

We are going to use Altendorf Magis and we have barcode printer as well but is there a way to export the labels from Polyboard?
