Alexandre,

Thank you so much for all your help, my next project should go much smoother now that I know what I’m doing. The Pdf still didn’t have the exploded view with numbered panels like the first one did, is there something I should specify in the future to get that? It’s helpful but not critical and I can get by without it. The most important thing was the measurements and they are with the level of precision I need. I’m surprised that the Units preference is only stored globally on the application and not also stored locally with the Protect file.

Thanks again

Alexandre,

Thank you for putting together the cut list for me, one big problem i’m seeing is all the dimensions on the pdf are 1/4″ precision, my cabinet uses precision of 1/16″. 1/4″ precision is useless to me, I had the units set to Inches (Fractional) and Precision set to 1/16″. The first pdf also had exploded views of the cabinet sections with panel numbers, this one doesn’t.

Is there something I did wrong? Is there any way I can get a list with 1/16″ precision?

Alex,

I attached the revised project, I changed the panels to wood with grain, I also removed the doors and drawers, those are being done separate. Hopefully I have everything correct this time.

Thank you for your help

Hi,

Don’t worries with free version, you can’t see all informations, I considering your first project as learning project

The best free software you can used easily is Nanocad 5, just required free online registration, or mail

You can find many tutorials on online video platforms.

All the best, And good learning, Alexandre

Thank you so much for your help, I am downloading the quick design library and will change the material on the project this weekend. I really appreciate that you will generate a new cut list for me once I have made the changes.

Please forgive my ignorance here because I’ve never worked with software like this before, I wasn’t expecting DXF Cad? files and I don’t have anything that will open them. What do you suggest I use?  I going to be cutting the panels at a friends shop on his Schelling FH6 so I’m sure his machine will like the file format but I will need to view them and probably make some minor changes.

Thanks Again

Hi,

Please find your files upload, but Cabinet don’t included project review!

I see that the materials in your project do not have a grain direction For Plywood, you can download our quick design libraries here (a bit further down the page),

That can change panels direction

you can refer here for materials style tools, and here for few materials explantation

For your first project, I agree to exceptionally make a second export of the cut list after your editing 😉

All the best, Alexandre
