Can you please upload your Project?
Vertical measurement is only for height
Horizontal measurement is for depth or width
3D is to for length,
But caution in project mode, if you are using external zone , grip are on external zone (overall cabinet dimension)
I see your are in 7.09a, and I’ll send you mail for extra information,

Hi Alex,
Ill have made a couple of examples, this project is a kitchen. I can’t upload the videos to this post, so please download them using this link: https://we.tl/t-sVJea3n2c6
In the first video, I am trying to measure the worktop from wall to the end of the run – with each measuring tool I yeild a different result. Can you tell me which one we should be using in this situation?
The second two videos highlight trying to measure the distance of a cabinet away from a wall. As you can see, none of the tools seem to want to pick up the lines of the cabinet I am trying to measure to.
Thanks for your help!

Hi, there,
Could you give us some concrete examples of errors?
One of the most common errors is the poor attachment of dimensions (point to point), diagonal for example, which, depending on the viewing angle, gives the impression of a width dimension in front view
I recommend changing the angle of view when taking dimensions to ensure a good line-to-line grip, parallel / perpendicular

Hi,
After working with PB for several months now, we are finding most things great. However, the measuring tool is a massive issue.
It is hard to get a reliable dimension from both within the cabinet mode, and the project mode. In some cases it gives 0.0 measurements, and others it throws out an incorrect number. There are some points and lines that it refuses to pick up in project mode which is really important for us.
We cannot give our PB file to our bench joiners, or site fitters, as they are struggling to rely on the measurements it is giving them, which is a crucial aspect for them.
Is there anything you can do to fix this?
Thanks,
Up North
