OfflineHi Tom,
I just study this case and to be clear,
When you change priorities Doors to the Top, you ask to Polyboard to make Top covering the Top,
Even then you ask it to overpass onto the top via a groove
This can be seen if you create an overlap between the Top and the facade.
To avoid this conflit, the best solution is to add less slack, then add this value to the reference cabinet dimension to maintain the same cabinet height.
Hope that’s helpful

OfflineHi Tom,
I am well, I hope you are too.
I am actually looking at this a little bit more. I found the previous post interesting and I am running some more tests on this.
I will get back to you soon with some more information after I have spent some time testing this.
Best regards,
Isaac

OfflineHi Isaac,
I hope you’re well – been a while.
Of course that’s how you do it, another good reference video for the library.
So…what am I misunderstanding about the software here because…I simply think, I need to groove the door up, so that’s what I did. Your solution looks like the cabinet is squashed down, thereby losing space, rather than the door stretching. Do I need to add the -40mm slack back to the height of the cabinet?
Also, why is it slack and not called recess?! There’s some sort of logic I’m glossing over here.
Hope you’re having a good summer mate.
Cheers,
Tom

OfflineHello,
Find attached the project file in question…
Why does Cabinet A & B’s tops groove into the door slack and touch the doors? There are no manual grooves, and the boxful methods are standard. The multislope top function also reflects the same dimensions. You will see the issue on A & B from left or right side view (I’ve attached a picture).
Granted, we grooved the door up, above the carcass as a design feature, but why would this affect the top touching the door in the depth? Of course i can manually recess to solve the problem, but why is it happening in the first place?
Any help you can offer to understand why this is the case would be greatly appreciated, I hope I made myself clear.
Kind Regards,
Tom
