Hi,
I don’t really know well the exact function of the pp export options for groups in TPA .
I’d suggest that you try to set the tool numbers to something that do not exist on your machine and see what happens when you open the tcn or cid files.
The idea is that either the tool path is ignored or TpaCad or Biesseworks/Bsolid show an error message.
Best regards,
Ness

Hi Grover,
It’s not possible for Polyboard to separate the machining operations within the same output file. You have to do this in the CAM program that it tool pathing that is TpaCad for Vitap or Bsolid/BiesseWorks for Biesse.
It should be easy to activate or dis-activate any specific tool path generated by Polyboard.
You can also set Polyboard to export or not export the outline of the parts in the pp options:
So you could set up one post processor to export only the outline with all other tools set to 0 and another exporting no outline with the other tool numbers correctly set.
This will give 2 files one for cutting and one for machining.
You can also try to set the groove tool to number 0 so that TpaCad will not apply machining the grooves. Although this might give and error and it might be easier to simply erase the groove tool path.
Hope this is helpful,
Ness
Hello Ness,
Sorry for the confusion, Ness. We are using Vitap Point K2 Top and Biesse rover gold. OptiCut saw file for Altendorf Magis F45.
Since we need to edge all sides of each panel(due to humidity), we need to separate an exported file with outline(without drilling/grooving). We are going to use the exported file only to square panels then after this is edging all sides.
Because of this, we need to export another file with drilling/grooving(but without outline).
My boss wanna ask if somehow, we could set/create 1 exported file but with separate operations.
Also, as what D-Alexandre said, “this solution(sub-method) don’t separate grooves” do you have any idea how to remove grooving(like for drawer rabbet joinery) as well?
Thanks,
Grover

Hi Grover,
Sorry but I don’t understand your question.
Can you give us a more detailed description of how you are manufacturing?
What machines are you using and how are you using Polyboard and Opticut out put ?
thanks,
Ness
Hello Ness,
My boss wanna know if is there any option to remove the drilling/grooving operation on Polyboard without exporting 2 files(with outline[Removed drilling from sub-method] and without outline)? We will only use the outline for the precision of cutting panels. Is it possible to separate these 2 operations using 1 exported file?
Thanks,
Grover
