polyboard to sketchup video|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER
October 4, 2012
Hello Terry,
You can drop me the project file when you want.
If you have the paid version of SketchUp you will be out to import the DXF file straight into it, however if you only have the free version tell me and I will send you the SketchUp file because the free version doesn’t import DXF.
SketchUp is fairly easy to use, you can find loads of tutorials all across the Internet, just type in SketchUp in you tube.
If you want anything specific you like her how to load your project and set up dimension’s just tell me and make your video to show you how to do it.
See soon,
Ness
Ness Ive only just noticed this (not sure if its a new video?) and funnily enough Im working on a new project in polyboard that I really want to add extra dimensions to.(for the client) I’d like to drop you a project hopefully tomorrow and get the DXF files to use in sketch up. Ive never ever tried sketch up so can you just tell me is it fairly easy to pick up and can you point me in the direction of any help videos/tutorials etc or is it just a case of ‘play with it and learn’.
Will share my latest project tomorrow hopefully.
Thanks
Terry
