PP-export grooving as pocket or outline geometry|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER
October 4, 2012
Hi Karl,
Thanks for your new years wishes, and I would like to wish you all the best for 2020 too!
I’m not expert in the way pb* talks to BiesseWorks but if BiesseWorks actually runs 3 linear tool paths for grooves it might be because you have set the Groove mode to Sawing.
If you set the Mode to Milling does it do the same?
If Milling give the same result the only way to get the groove to be pocketed like an inner tooling is to use DXF import.
In this case you can set the groove layer name to treat the groove rectangle as a pocket. You should consult your BiesseWorks manual to see how to set the correct code name.
Best regards,
Ness
Using BiesseWorks CIX export. Is it possible to have grooves marked as outline geometry when using straight cutters? As opposed to having 3 separate milling operations. that start off from one point as OOO.
Or is it more useful to use DXF import? Really looking forward to BiesseWorks PP update!
edit: Easier explanation: how to make groove behave like inner tooling?
