This would be a great feature to add. this way when putting boxes together person can see the assembly at a glance. Also we’d put that page on the cabinet as a reference of what it is and where it belongs.

Hello Ness,

What works for us is 3D drawing + 3D exploded drawings of a cabinet on one page. On the exploded view toolings need to be visible because we need to know which panels need dowels (horizontal drillings + glue + dowel are put by dowel machine separately – we have our dowels at a fixed distance to each other so its always the same structure) and also for the assemblers to know in which order parts should be put together.

So we generally need 3D drawing + 3D exploded drawings of a cabinet on one page and a cutlist. We just need to see the approximate location and the amount of drillings – not the precise location.

Hi Rafal,

No problem we all have rough day’s now and again.

But why do you need drawings without the machining as in most cases they are only rectangles, wouldn’t just having a list of parts be enough?

Cheers,

Ness

Sorry if I sounded harsh, had a bad morning 🙂 I understand Ness.

We have everything set up in a way that we have no use of drawings of toolings but of course everybody have their workshops setup in a different way.

Thanks!

Hi Rafal,

We can ask the developers to include this option but we have never been asked for it yet as the print outs with the hole positions is not considered a problem but rather an advantage.

In general these documents are printed for the shop floor management and help people sort through and check parts. So the ability to see the drawing of the finished part with machining is appreciated.

Especially as without the machining the drawings have little use since they are generally just rectangles whose sizes are listed in the cutting lists.

I’ll inform the development team of this post so that they can put this option on their wish list.

Best regards,

Ness

Can this be requested from developers? How is this still not an option? Are there a lot of people who still are manually drilling holes in the panels? Otherwise there is no point to have that page with hole coordinates printed – for many I think the final output of Polyboard is a machine file (g-code) so that the mundane work like drilling holes in the panels is given to the machine.

Am I missing something here?

Hi Rafal and Alex,

For the moment I don’t see any simple way to do this.

Alex’s work around seems to me as the only simple method.

Best regards,

Ness

Hello,

Is there a possibility to print all cabinet drawings without toolings of each part from Project Mode? In Cabinet mode it works, but in Project mode drawings and tooling seem to be grouped (see image).
