Hello there,

… unfortunatelly nothing works.

I am trying to make PolyBoard work with HOMAG BHX055 which is not a regular CNC – it’s rather a multi axis drilling machine operated via Woodwop software by HOMAG.

The problem is, that Woodwop requires *.dxf files in a specific format and that requires a lot of manual work to translate the received files into what’s needed – not an option. This basically leaves the only option to use PolyBoard to create HOMAG dedicated MPR files.

This however requires buying Pro PP license option. Before doing so, I need to make absolutely sure the mpr generated by PolyBoard are properly processed by BH055and here are my questions:

– Edge machining – most of the mpr post processors are restricted to use Z axis as the tool axis. BH055 on the other hand, has a dedicated set of MPR commands for edge machining tools, e.g. Horizontal Drill that operates along X and /or Y axis and it is used to drill holes on panels’ edges. Q: Is PolyBoard postprocessor capable of creating MPR files for multi axis drills? (e.g. processing: 103 \BohrHoriz\)

– Would it be possible to receive few mpr examples from the provided project to test post processing functionalities of rPolyBoard?

appreciating your help,

A>

here is attached file with panels missing inner tooling cutouts.

Those cutouts are represented only partially, showing face silhouette without depth. Those object all are marked green.

hope this would suffice.

Hi,

I will customise this for your output.

Please list exactly what layers are not outputting correctly for you, and I will adjust these. Please also provide files showing these layers.

Regards,

Isaac

Hello,

Thank you for the files. BOM works fine.

I am still trying to make some use of the dxf files provided. Attached is one example where a groove and a hole made via inner tooling (both green lines) are shown as face lines without depth. What needs to be done to have all panel’s cut outs properly shown in the dxf?

Hello,

Please see attached your updated files. The service you are using only allows one set of project files a month, although considering that you are new to the service I have made an exception this time. Please note the following:

1. I updated the cutting list to follow the configuration that you require.

2. The supplied dxf files are all that I can provide with this service. You will need to set up your own Post Processor in PolyBoard for better integration with your CAM software.

3. In the supplied PDF, each cabinet is shown and then broken down into its individual components. This is all that I can generate here sorry.

4. If you purchase a PolyBoard licence you are not limited to the number of Post Processors that you create. You can create different set-ups for numerous CNC machines with no additional costs.

Best regards,

Isaac

Morning Isaac,

Attached is the updated project file with following changes:

– cutting list options were updated to meet workshop requirements (sequence of columns, it is). In case this is a Polyboard configuration not saved with the project data I am providing the sequence: Hight, Width, Quantity, Reference, Material, Cabinet, Project, Top Edge Material, Bottom Edge Material, Left Edge Material, Right Edge Material, Tooling file first face, tooling file second face)

– few naming corrections

The above corrections should be sufficient to create the list of panels with edge banding. The biggest problem however is with HOMAG – the dxf files are 2D and can not be used for further processing. Can you export 3D files for each individual panel separately?

Other point, can you provide pdf files that could be used during assembly? Some overall views with panels naming, or anything?

I am also strongly considering investing into mpr post processor. Can you give me more details – what are the costs? Please note, I will be using this to create files for an outsourced workshop so this investment is a high risk for me. Could this software, within same license be configured to potentially work with multiple CNC?

Please advise.
