Hi,
To model the round cross bar you have to create a material whose thickness is equal to the cross bar length.
Then create a round inner tooling and keep only the inner tooling by setting it’s material to non nil and the outer material to nil.
Export the Polyboard model in 3D DXF and import as a 3D accessory.
This will create a round cross bar but the junction of the 2 cylindres will not be correct, not a big deal for most presentations.
To get a 100% correct model you’ll have to model the handle in a CAD program. SketchUp is an easy 3D program to use but you”ll need the full pro version to export a 3D DXF file to Polyboard. Most other CAD programs will do the job.
You can also often get a 3D DXF model from a manufacturer’s website.
Hope this is helpful,
Ness
I am sure there is a way to do this but I am yet to find it! We want to mimic the handles on this web page
I have got the overall dimensions working with a 3D shape as both a single panel fitting and as a fitting depending on where we are using it. So functionally have got it working. It would be great to have to bar as a round bar rather than the current square section.
How do we do this? I have attached the Polyboard file and a screenshot.
Cheers
