RSJ Cabinet Notch|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER

Hi Isaac,
Thanks for this, certainly helped me think through it a bit more.
If you got BCD cabinets, equi-spaced them between the RSJ and the right hand wall, this would push the shelving unit and A to the left. My thought was to split A Cabinet where the vertical division is, then combine that right hand portion with the shelving unit. This would mean the top it notched out and the remaining space would be filled up against the left hand side of the RSJ.
If the description doesn’t help, here is a Loom video: LINK

Hello,
attached is my 3D file and a crude drawing the client gave me regarding their thoughts.
I want to try notch the cabinet for them, but i also want to create uniform filler panel above if possible, as opposed to a U shape cut out around the RSJ.
I had the idea to increased the width of the cabinets on the right, right up to, the right hand side of the RSJ, thereby closing part of the gap above.
Moreover, I want to combine the right hand side of cabinet A in my 3D, with the Shelving unit, then notch the top and fill the gap to the left hand side of the RSJ. But I need help in this department.
I hope the attached helps, and also the working 3D file.
Many Thanks,
Tom
