Set Cabinet Default So Horizontal Piece Is Inside|Forum|WOOD DESIGNER
October 4, 2012
Hi John,
Thanks for posting your question.
When you start the way the cabinet is set up is defined by the default construction method.
To see this goto Libraries>Manufacturing Methods:
A Manufacturing Method is a collection of sub-methods.
The sub-method “Cabinet Boxfull” defines how Polyboard sets up the main carcase.
The “Default” carcase is with top and bottom over passing the sides or in the Quick Design jargon “I” style (see Quick Design manual for more details).
To change to sides over passing top and bottom in the “Cabinet Boxfull ” value, click the word “Default”and in the drop down list select an “H” style.
This will set the default carcase construction to top and bottom inside or non priority to sides.
Hope this is helpful,
To get more details on methods and sub-methods you can read the Quick Design manual.
All the best,
Ness
I am brand new to Polyboard and have a question about default cabinet setup. Currently, the default cabinet comes in with the horizontal piece being the full width of the cabinet and the vertical piece being placed inside the horizontal. I normally build my cabinets the opposite way. The vertical member is the full height of the cabinet and the horizontal member fits inside the vertical. Is there a way in Polyboard to set this as the default?
