Hi,

With regard to case number 1, please note that your sub-methods refer to the interior zone. The drawer boxes will be as tall as possible, with the height determined by the slack in the zone.

Then, looking at the second case, defined on drawers, we are talking here about the front, so you will get identical and interchangeable drawers, but you will then need to take into account a larger top and bottom slack that could potentially cover the top or base of the unit, but will also result in smaller drawers.

Hope this helpful, Alex

Hi Isaac

Thanks for reviewing this…

Yes the referencing of the runner position to drawers works perfectly now.

1 last query on this set up…

I notice that in a cabinet that for example is 500mm in height – 2 drawers divided equally and the drawer box internal depth are equal and the drawer fronts are equal.

However going to 3 or 4 drawers.. then the internal drawer box depth become equal for the middle drawers but the tops and bottom are equal to each other but smaller..

How do i set this up so that drawer boxes and drawer fronts are always equal?

Ash

Hello Ashley,

Sorry, I have made a small mistake in my explanation, in the original video.

What I explained is not correct for the Hafele Undermount. Please see the following video, showing you the adjustments that need to be made.

These two small changes should finish this drawer system.

Best regards,

Isaac

Hello

I’ve probably mixed up a fair few dimensions now across different drawer slide sizes (runner length)

Thanks

Hi Isacc

Thanks for sending this through… I’ve been playing around with this for a few hours today, the bit I’m still stuck with that when there are multiple drawers in 1 volume then the y-axis reference for the runner doesn’t work for every drawer.

I suspect its a rule reference some where as the very bottom drawer box reference includes the 18mm cabinet bottom panel, where as those above / intermediate one do not.

I’m going round in circle with it a little bit, something’s not quite making sense to me.

Hello Ashley,

See the following video, an example discussing this drawer system:

Additionally, see the following link for more examples on setting up drawer systems:

Hello

Whilst refining our general manufacture method, I’m struggling on how to reference the height of the holes that need drilling in the side of the cabinets to mount the drawer runners.

Please see example cabinet attached and the Hafele data sheet attached.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got the drawer box assemble correct in terms of slacks and rules etc, if spot any other error that would be much appreciated.

We mainly use these runners and this method

Thanks
