Hi Doug, we’re in the process of updating our libraries and toolbars, so that video is in places out of date (a new version will follow soon).
However there’s a more up to date video on the same page called Display Cabinet Dimensions that will help.
For further technical advice, please sign up to Premium Support which includes our cut list and plans processing service. You’ll need this service and subscription anyway if you plan to continue to use the free version rather than buying the software in full (the full version includes integrated manufacturing output).
If you would prefer to continue testing yourself, unfortunately we cannot offer technical support and training, you would need to focus on the videos until you were happy the software can do what you want, then sign up for the subscription and expert help.

Brand new trial user, only used it for about 15 minutes so far. I’m watching the video tutorials while also using the app.
In the “Quick Design Project Toolbar continued” video, it refers to a toolbar button called “Permanent Dimensions”. On my version 7.02c, that icon is labelled “Personalized Dimensions”. That might be a language translation typo, but the function doesn’t work. I’m following the video exactly and I can’t get my visual dimensions to “stick”. I can measure a distance and it displays it.
I can right-click on the measurement value, but the pop-up menu shows “Customized Dimension” instead of what the video shows as “Permanent Dimension”. I don’t know if that’s yet another language translation typo or if the function has been changed.
Regardless of clicking on this menu item, or the state of the “Personalized Dimension” toolbar button, there’s no way to keep the measurement on-screen. It disappears as soon as I take another measurement.
I’m not asking for technical support here; I’m trying to see if I can use this product but, 15 minutes into following the video tutorials, I’m already finding the user interface confusing and out of sync with the video tutorials. I’m not sure I can invest significant time in learning this application if the tutorials and/or application interface is broken.
