Thanks for that. The screenshare yesterday got us back up and working.

Filling in those areas to “C:\Windows\System32” does allow us to press ok.

Thanks

We continue to follow your problem with attention,

To be able to validate a change of folder, you have to make sure that the Macros lines are not empty

You can use “C:\Windows\System32” on each line

Can you confirm this point

Yes you are right. It no longer seems to be a NAS issue but it is an issue within Polyboard.

A screenshare session would be great. We are in the workshop until 4:30 UK time.

Hi,

We have a query with the developers to see how they can assist on the NAS issue. However, if you just use the libraries on each computer without the NAS it should not be a problem? If I understand correctly your last answer this was now also an issue ?

We can have a screen share session to look at this stage but we need to wait for the reply of the developers to see if they can assist and how. They know it is urgent so I expect a fast reply on this

regards

Michel

Thats for that Alex,

We have lost even more functionality this morning. We have tried to change our folder to use a local version stored on each of the computers own hardrives. This is still causing the same issue, it is crashing when we press the same button. So it is nothing to do with the NAS and is something to do with Polyboard.

Now Polyboard has crashed at a point where it has lost connection to our local files (and put them back to the default setting where our files are not stored) but wont let me update.

I noticed an update is out for Polyboard (7.07G). On one of the computers I have updated to this, it now doesnt crash when you press the 3 littel dots. But does not let me press ok to confirm the new folder location.

We cant currently use polyboard as it and are now not able to produce more work. Please can someone sort this ASAP this is becoming a serious issue.

Hi,

Copying files and accessing files is not the same,

When you copy a file, you have automatic write access,

But for some NAS there are protections on access and writing, for example for first user on several posts simultaneously,

but each command on Polyboard can call one of the 10 sub-methods or panel libraries

and in the case where it does not have access to a file polyboard will seek to create it again, but this same file will always be locked by the NAS, because it exists but in current use, by other post or self backup.

Like in your libs Polyboard never generate files with (1) or [confict].

https://kb.synology.com/en-global/DSM/tutorial/Synology_Drive_file_conflict_resolution

May you can create folder on each post but synchronized with folder on NAS > Synology Drive ShareSync

Sorry but I don’t have the knowledge to help more on this subject

All the best, Alex

Optinest has connected to the NAS absolutly fine, and we are reading and writing files fine. It is just the altering the library locations.

It is a Synology NAS so there is a lot of software and security features. I have tried looking at some of the options. Any thoughts on what kind of setting I should be looking at?

Sorry,

but all test done work, we don’t have any crash,

with files from cloud Gdrive & Onedriver, from another computer shared folder, and a USB hard drive connect directly to the internet modem

Doesn’t your NAS have any additional software to ensure file access?

Any other ideas? I am confident it is an issue with Polyboard rather than an issue with our NAS.
