OfflineHi Torkild,
I want to clarify any misunderstanding. When you purchased a licence, you acquired a licence for PolyBoard 7. You fully own that licence and were entitled to all updates within PolyBoard 7.
However, PolyBoard 8 requires a separate licence. This is a major upgrade, not a routine update, and it should not be expected as part of your existing licence. At the time of your purchase, a PolyBoard 8 licence was not part of the agreement.
To be clear, your PolyBoard 7 licence remains valid and fully usable.
Additionally, this forum is dedicated to technical discussions about the software. I do not have any influence over pricing or licensing decisions, as these are managed by a separate department. If you would like to share feedback or discuss this further, please contact our customer service team at [email protected]
Best regards,
Isaac

OfflineHi
We have for the last few years used polybord, and now the 8.0 is available for download. To our disappoitment the updates are no longer included in the “lifetime subscribtion” we paid for. Its not a lifetime subscribtion but just a startup fee when you purchase the software. That means when you feel for it you can just call it v8 v9…. and then charge whatever amout you like. The v 7.12 we are now using will be hopelessly outdated incl essential postprocessor.
What a dissapoitment.
