Hello,

I`m working in mm, but the printer is stated like described in my printerselection at work.

Guess “HP Designjet T930 large format printer Thermal inkjet Colour 2400 x 1200 DPI A0 (841 x 1189 mm)” makes more sense…

I will make the payment ASAP then, let you know when it`s done.

Kind regards,

Vidar Kristiansen

Hello Michel,

then I`ve printed all the PDF`s, and I for sure see a need for 1:1 templates for the stringboards and the handrails.

So if you can advise how much the price will be for these drawings in scale 1:1, and send me the payment details…?

The printer I got available is a DesignJet T930 36″, printing format A0 from paper roll.

Thank you in advance!

Kind regards,

Vidar Kristiansen

Hi Vidar,

changes are done and also newel 5 is extended to the floor for better support.

Now the files are the pdf workshop files where you have your cuttinglist and dxf files for all parts. However, 1/1 templates can e delivered in pdf format so that you can print them but this is not included in the service and requires an extra payment as you can read here on via this link ( bottom of the page ) Once received I can send you the templates in pdf format. I need to know the width of the printer so that I can set the correct size for the pdf.

Here is the stairfile for your stair. Advise what you want to do about the templates

regards

Michel

One more thing, change the riser dimension to 19mm.

Thank you!

Hello Michel,

thank you for your quick reply, and the suggestions for changes.

Quite happy, my first design wasn`t to far away from something usefull.smile

I really have to give a credit to the Stair designer software. I really like using it, and recommend it to everyone I talk to, who like to do their own woodwork.

I had to do one change myself also, I changed the step thickness to 38mm, as I realized this is the material thickness available in oak from my local warehouse.

Adding the changes you suggested, and the thinkness of the steps to 38mm, I`m ready to receive the drawings! 🙂

Kind Regards,

Vidar Kristiansen

By the way, I assue I receive the drawings in PDF-format then.? Are they based on a scaled size, with all dimensions, or will they come as a 1:1 template for me to print and cut out…?

Hi Vidar

I changed the following:

Step penetrations to 15 mm

Added a 10 mm penetration of the risers into the steps.

Added tenon connexions between newels and stringboards

For the rest, the stair is structurally solid.

If ok then I can send you the stair files

regards

Michel

Hello,

after testing out several different options and designs here in Stair designer, I`ve finally landed on the attached design for the stair in my house project.

It`s not an ideal solution when it comes to stair roules, but I think it can be good for our use.

Not sure how this premium subscription works, but I try to add the drawings to this topic, if someone is interesting in adding a comment or have any tips I should take in concideration before ordering a full drawing.

The design of the top newel post wil be modified when cutting, I wanted this to be a support for the horisontal top handrail on the floor before the stairwell as well.

Thank you all in advance!

Kind regards,

Vidar
