Hi Donald,

Just to add to Stefan's reply, our software will output drawings of all of the parts for simple stairs, but detailed curved stair plans will require specific drawings according to the way you are going to build the parts.

There are traditional techniques and we have several original Wood Designer techniques for making these parts.

Each technique has it's pros and cons according to the situation and type of stair you are going to build.

Each technique requires taking the StairDesigner calculated parts drawings and adapting them.

This adaptation can be done by yourself or you can commission this work from us.

But the detailed drawings to build the curved parts are not part of the standard software output.

Please see our Stair blog for more details on the different ways of building curves:

as well as these other articles on Wood Designer:

Hi Donald, welcome to Wood Designer. Please go to this page and the other pages of the StairDesigner model library to download sample StairDesigner projects in many cases along with the plans and cut lists:

https://wooddesigner.org/membe.....s/winders/

The bottom one on that page is similar to the one you've mentioned.

Please consider signing up for Premium Support to access many other stair building resources including videos and eBooks. We've got a lot on curved stairs in particular. With Premium Support you will also be able to get detailed expert advice. When you are ready to start on a project yourself, I would advise you order our StairFile service:

https://wooddesigner.org/stair.....e-service/

You have to be a Premium Support subscriber to be able to order the StairFile service, which is currently an extra payment on top of that.

You use our StairDesigner software without buying it, so great for a first test project. We help you with the design, review and revise it with you, then give you the cut list and plans. A great way to work and learn at the same time.

All the best, Stefan

Stephan,
Thank You! For your prompt reply. My immediate interest is in stair building, furniture may come later. I am a licensed contractor here in the US and have built some straight stairs in my homes but the thought of doing curved stairs has been a small obsession but I know of no software/service here that provides a set of plans/cutting list that would allow me to do curved or even circular stairs and that appears to be easily possible with your software and services. Is it possible to get a sample page or two of what some of the cutting list info looks like from a curved stair project that looks like this single stringer deign?

My goal is to make artistic stairways like what I see on your site for customers.

Thanks
Don Gee
