Hello Elias,

After studying your stair project and under reservation that I have properly understood your request I can tell you that this can’t be done directly because the stringboard was applied to steps and the cut string is under the steps (and the risers) but you can combine both solutions.

First add a recess to your Cut String (and handrail) equal to your nosing (here 1″ 1/4):

Add Stringboard with the same thickness as “nil material” (or 100% transparency):

This will then allow you to modify the step penetration and risers into stringboard to obtain the desired view:

Hi Petru , Here is the requested file. I would like to have the same overhang as the front nosing on the open side of the staircase.
