This is one picture of the stair.

All the white details is pine wood, and the steps is made from birch and oiled with a transparent oil.

It's been a while since i have been posting in the forum.

I finally finished my stair ! 🙂
This was a very challenging project, but I am very satisfied with the result. I couldnt done it without the Stair Designer 🙂

All the wood used in the project is supplied from my own forest and processed home on the farm.

The stringboards and the newel posts is made from Pine.

The steps is made from birch 🙂

I try to upload some pictures, but they were all to big. I will try to attach them later 🙂

Hi Ole,

The landing step is just to make a harmonious transition from the stair to the floor. The actual width of this step is not very important, it just should be wide enough to house the last riser and leave some space between the riser back and the joist.

To have more details on this please download the ebook Stair Design Preliminaries from our ebooks library.

 Hello Ness

Thanks for the quick response !

I have one question, the landing step. Why is it smaller? Does it reflect the floor?

How will the upper step go together with the floor boards in the second floor.

I think your moderations looks good.

Regards

Ole

Hello Ole,

Thanks for posting your project on the forum.

I've optimised your stair so that will be easier to use and build.

- added landing step

- adjusted newels

- optimised slope and stair rule

The design I attach should be buildable.

If this design is OK for you I can send you the working files.

Please consider buying a full StairFile Pro so that I can  give you and in depth revision and you'll also get the full size PDF templates of each part (not available in the StairFile Lite).

All the best,

Ness

 Hi

I have been planning to make at new stair at home for a long time now. But many hours mesauring and drawing by hand made me more and more anxious to the project.

Then I discovered your wood designer and suddenly the project became more realistic again 🙂

Please se my attached demo_file. My first stair to renew my old house.

Can you assist me with the cutting list and plans for me to get starting ?

Best Regards

Ole
