Hi Bob, you would need to buy StairDesigner before we would activate it, giving you access to the manufacturing output as well as design features which you have with the free version. You don't need to worry about activation (although for future reference please see our FAQs page for how to activate the software and get round this problem). Just ignore the message. All the best, Stefan

Hi Bob,

If you have an activated version of StairDesigner 7 you can of course export the 2D plans and parts drawings.

If you don't have a full version just post the StairDesigner 7 file and we'll send these documents too you.

all the best,

Ness

Hi Bob,

You'll probably have to upgrade to StairDesigner 7 version 7.05C.

All the best,

Ness

Ness, I don't have a "type" of stair option box in my version of SD-7 for multiflight stairs.  Do I need an upgrade or do I input the stair and the add radii? thx, Bob

Hi Bob,

You have to first draw the plan in a CAD program dividing the ellipse into arcs.

Then using the dimensions of the arcs and the multi-flight curved functions in StairDesigner 7 set up the stair.

To give you more details, can you post a dimensioned plan of your project?

All the best,

Ness

I am pretty good with cad software but having trouble laying out the stair I want to build in a partial elliptical shape.  Any hints or clues would be very helpful.
