Hi Michel!
Thank you so much for your help. I think we’ll have to run with that model, as I can’t see another way of having all equal risers and treads across both flights, and with a constant tread width of greater then 240mm but less then 260mm.
Thanks again, and if you could please process this model and issue the drawings, we’ll get cracking!
Cheers
Pat

Hi Patrick
Here another version
I removed the top step so that the last step will butt into the floor structure as you requested.
Added a step and riser is now 166.21 mm. Does it look OK ? I also added the measurements for you to check

Thnks Michel.
We can reduce the length of stair flight 1, in order to alter the going length. If I knew how to do this after the model has been set up I would.
I would rather not have the small step at the top of flight 2, as the top tread neds to butt into the floor structure, and then we are rolling carpet down to cover the structure. therefore no top riser required.
The original length of stair flight 1 can be reduced indefinitely to make the flights match better if that helps?
Ideally if we can reduce the riser height to 165mm or less it would be a big help, as that will then make the gaps compliant with Australian Building Code.
Thoughts?

Hi Patrick,
Here is the version without risers and depth changed to 20mm.
What is the reason of the tread width being restricted to 258mm? This can be achieved by reducing the first flight to a length of 2580mm instead of 2640mm and on the second flight changing the landing step from 70 to 107 mm. I would not do it by adding a step as the step height is then getting to low.
Also, I would add a riser on the last step to cover up the floor joist.
Once you approved the final drawing i will send the documents.

Michel
Thanks Michel,
Looks pretty good, however I am limited by a couple of things that no longer comply:
1. Maximum tread width can be 258mm.
2. We are intending to use open risers.
3. Penetration is to to be each tread recessed into the stringboard by 20mm each side.
All looks pretty good aside from that though!
Can you please send the cut lists based on that?
Thanks,
Pat

Hi Patrick
I made some changes on the stair to make it more compliant. Check and revert with comments.
You did not define the riser as there is not penetration settings and thickness. Once the stair is OK, I can provide you the set of documents you need to produce the stair.

Michel
