Hi Chris,
I’ve modified a bit your steps.
You should give the flight sizes on the wall side of the stairs this might be the right hand side in your case.
To see how to do this, please look at the Quick Start videos and use the online documentation in our ebook libraries.

hi Ness
Thanx for reply
so I quickly started a new stair winding left
gave the hight (230) length (160cm) risers13 .Then for the second flight I also have 160cm length so I typed that when adding 2nd flight but the stairs turn on sixth tread instead of 4 th which would be impossible as there is no sace on the opening
Basically ‘i need to know how to make the stringers turn where I need them to turn if you know what
i mean

Hi Chris,
The free version is not limited in any design fonctions so it should work.
Can you post your project file and a sketch of what you are trying to achieve and I’ll have a look.
All the best,
Ness
hi Ness
Just became a member and downloaded free stair designer software.
I fooled around trying to draft a set of stairs from scratch after watching tutorials and I m having problems adjusting the point where stair turns into the second flight.
Although i entered both lenths of flights on parameter box stair deigner seems to ignore desired lenth entered for each flight and on opp length it adjusts a total different dimension, which is not fiting into my stair well opening and therefore starts the second flight on sixth tread instead of 3rd .
I wonder if it s because its a limited version or is there hope to adjust this ?
thanx ness
Chris
