Hi Michel,

Sorry for the confusion. English is not my first language nor am I a craftsman.

I've changed the only 18mm value (Lateral Recess in newelpost/stringboard links and newelpost/handrail links) as well as a riser for the last step.

Regards,

Jens

Hi Jens

30mm is too much as a general rule to apply is 1/3 of the thickness. 45 for your stringers means 15 penetration for the steps. the same is then applied to the newels

Have you checked the shoulderings for your tenons  I advised you to set them to 15mm instead of 18 and add a riser to the last step

Please reply on suggestions I make to avoid repetitively communication

regards

Michel

Hi Michel,

I forgot the newel post at the bottom embarassed

I've beefed the penetration from 15 to 30 mm for the stringers and steps.

Regards,

Jens

Hi Jens

I looked at it and can advise the following

Shoulderings of tenons to 15mm for stringers and handrails. Better tenon and the same depth as the stop notches.

A riser on the last step to hide the floor joist and strengthen the last step.

Why is there no newel on the start of the stair connected to the handrail?

regards

Michel

Can you have a look and post the files if ok?
