Hi,

This means you do not have the latest version of the software. Here is a link to upgrade our version

Hi Michel

i can't seem to open the v2 file, since it was made with a more recent version ? (thats atleast what the error message says).

But i found what you meant with the point and got it corrected. lesson learned for next time.

Thank you very much laugh

Well the reason is that we dont want to use tenons. We dont quite like the idea of it since it makes assembly quite hard (we always drill for 16 mm screw pockets and assemble it with screws and biscuits ).
So my idea was that i would make  either a drilling macro for dowels, a sawing function for biscuits or routing for dominoes  in maestro, where i can apply it with parameters on the plane that will be generated from the tenon.

Hi,

You made some editions on the staircase geometry, and 2 points were not exactly in line. This is the reason why you could not have the stringboard in 1 piece.

Here is the corrected version. I see a strange tenon joint only penetrating for 1mm. Any reason behind this ?? Maybe to add a false tenon ?

Regards

Hello Michel.

Well i thougt that aswell, but i've tried looking at the properties of both (aboce and below) stringers, and as i can see they both share the same information so that did confuse me.confused

Hi,

Can you please add your stairfile as an example for me to look at and give you a correct answer?

In general, when adding a landing, you have to add also the additional stringer too. The parameters of the added stringboard need to be exactly the same as the existing one to create 1 single stringboard. I suppose you did not change anything on the outer stringer, and you do on the inner one. This can be a reason why it's splitting up that stringboard. For me to answer you correctly, please send me a stairfile you made as an example.

regards

Michel

Gooday.

Im new to making staircases with stairsdesigner, so i apoligieze in advance as well as for my english terminology.

When making staircases i alllways have troubles with making the stringer for the upper part of the flight (exit part). when i've gotten a landing added  (useally make them 100 - 140 mm deep), i can never seem to get the stringer to connect directly into the newel post. the program always wants to adds a secondary

straight stringer between. oddly the outer stringer towards the wall seems to never have that problem.

How do i add a stringer that goes straight up to the exit newel post ?

Edit: ( in the titel is says middle landing, which is a typo, what i meant was the exit landing)
